Every day in São Paulo, people put on uniforms that define their social roles. The narrative follows the transformation that occurs when they take off their work attire and step out of their jobs, revealing surprising personalities hidden beneath the routine of the metropolis.
In downtown São Paulo, a waiter serves a table with precise, repetitive gestures. At the end of his shift, he changes clothes, crosses the city, and sings in a bar. From him, the film expands into a web: a pilot, a flight attendant, a judge, a military officer, a cook, and an executive. The documentary observes this anonymous choreography that keeps the city standing, up until the moment when the tired body decides to breathe outside the rhythm. Uniform is a poetic portrait of the urban machinery and social structures that shape everyday life.
