A former 90s axé dancer, Karen returns to her hometown, Formiga (MG), after going bankrupt and becoming a meme. With her teenage daughter, she faces gossip, moralistic churches, and the pain of having rejected her trans sister, Edna. Raised amid abuse, Karen once lived a brief peak as a Gingado Brasil dancer, followed by scandal, drugs, and oblivion. When an old video goes viral, she decides to confront her past. Mulher de Mola is a queer tragicomedy mixing kitsch and melancholy, following Karen, Larissa, and Edna as they turn shame into resistance — and dance, once commodity, into an intimate act of survival and affection.
