In a post-pandemic world plagued by high school dropout rates, Mel, a 16-year-old Black girl living in a favela/slum in a large Brazilian city, revolutionizes a public school with her unconventional feminist ideas after being exposed on the internet, transforming the school's reality. Impulsive, Mel gets involved in a love triangle with the popular straight guy and the transgender newcomer and experiences new emotions while deciding with whom she will lose her virginity. Torn between her dream of becoming a doctor, her musical career, and her life as a blogger, Mel faces challenges alongside Poppy, her gay Vogue dancer friend, and Joy, her gamer friend, who considers herself asexual and receives a diagnosis of autism. Along her path, Mel encounters Melix, a mysterious counselor who magically and unexpectedly appears before her whenever Mel faces a challenge and needs to confront a problem.
