The Sensational Vilabarca is a children’s fantasy and horror series set in a vast magical stilt-city built upon a gigantic vessel that sails through the rivers of the Amazon. In this setting, the restless riverside boy Xico Rio, his friend Caribé, a timid enchanted alligator, and Meli, a curious and clever beehive girl, face adventures that blend everyday Amazonian life with the supernatural exploring themes such as friendship, courage, and belonging. Inspired by Amazonian magical realism, the series combines digital cut-out 2D animation to create a unique and authentic visual universe. The Sensational Vilabarca invites children aged 5 to 9 to embark on a fun and mysterious journey. We are currently seeking partners for co-production, licensing, and international distribution.
