Andy Malafaia
Andy Malafaia holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Film from the Federal Fluminense University. He has worked as a critic, curator, and programmer at the Rio International Short Film Festival. His acclaimed short films, including “I Wanted to Be Enraptured, Muzzled, and on My Back, Tattooed”, have screened in more than 25 countries. He has also produced feature films such as “Greice” (2024), directed by Leonardo Mouramateus and premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, and “Papagaios” (2025), directed by Douglas Soares, which won four Kikitos at the latest Festival de Gramado, including the Audience Award for Best Picture.
