After his debuts with producer Anatole DAUMAN in the French Association of Film Producers (AFPF), Nicolas BREVIERE has created LOCAL FILMS to accompany François Ozon in the production of two short films. Since then, he has produced more than 120 films (short and feature films, creative documentaries) promoting innovative and demanding auteur cinema. Recent examples include "A German Youth" by Jean-Gabriel Périot (Berlinale, Panorama), "The Apostate" by Federico Veijoz, (Toronto), "Azor" by Andréas Fontana (Berlinale – Encounters, San Sebastian – Horizontes Latinos), “Angry Annie” by Blandine Lenoir (Locarno). He also directed a feature film, “Plus haut”, in 2002 and wrote a book on the production of French films of the 80s entitled “Golden Eighties” and published by CARLOTTA in 2024.
