CINESALA has operated as a neighborhood movie theater since 1962 and was fully renovated and reopened under this name in 2014, under the creative and business direction of Paulo Velasco.

The cinema stands out for its carefully curated film programming, its organic connection with the neighborhood—something only a true street cinema can offer, its aesthetic attention, its diverse audience supported by democratic ticket prices, and the presence of a charming café|bar in its lobby (Barouche).

The auditorium has 227 seats, prioritizing comfort and social connection.

CINESALA is part of the Velasco,B group of companies and is co-owned by Paulo Velasco, Adhemar Oliveira, and Raí Oliveira.
