Founded in 2006 in São Paulo, 44 Toons began as an animation studio and quickly became one of the leading producers of animated content in Brazil. With its series and feature films, 44 Toons has already surpassed the milestone of one thousand minutes of original animation, always featuring its own IP's. The studio’s series have received awards both in Brazil and abroad, and have been broadcast on TV Cultura, Gloob, Nickelodeon, TV Brasil, as well as international channels.

A trademark of 44 Toons’ productions has always been comedy—irreverent tone, fast-paced and humorous dialogue, and universal storytelling. Since 2019, with the release of O Amor Dá Trabalho, the company has expanded its work beyond animation, engaging content to the development of Brazilian live-action comedies.

The Warrior and The Princess (O Guerreiro e a Princesa)

"Every girl dreams of being a princess. But what if that's the dream of a prince?"

The film features a transgender princess as the protagonist, boldly referencing traditional animated fairy tales—a groundbreaking approach in this genre.

After the monarch’s death, a kingdom is divided into a devastating war. One of the kings seeks advice by a sorcerer, who foretells that his child will end the war. So, he makes a pact to ensure the child is born a boy. Lork grows up with the burden as a future warrior. Feeling utterly out of place, Lork leaves in search of his identity and embraces her womanhood as Lira, and ending the war.

Budget: 1MI USD

Supported by the FSA for its development, the project has already completed key steps of pre-production: its script, storyboard, and concept arts.

Metal Saga (Saga Metal)

Three misfitted school friends decide to form a Metal Band and end up transported to the alternate and devastated world of “Metallic Land”, where they will face up against the titanic Pop Queen.

With the development of the project already completed- including scripts, an animated promo, environment concepts, and character designs - Metal Saga is ready to follow a structured production pipeline.
