The film features a transgender princess as the protagonist, boldly referencing traditional animated fairy tales—a groundbreaking approach in this genre.
After the monarch’s death, a kingdom is divided into a devastating war. One of the kings seeks advice by a sorcerer, who foretells that his child will end the war. So, he makes a pact to ensure the child is born a boy. Lork grows up with the burden as a future warrior. Feeling utterly out of place, Lork leaves in search of his identity and embraces her womanhood as Lira, and ending the war.
